For this year’s Super Bowl, Visa is encouraging football fans to “Make It Epic.” Hey, go big or go home, right?
That’s why the company asked me and a few other folks for a few ideas on elevating your food, fandom, and (duh) style.
First up? Football legend Hines Ward counting how many TV’s he has on around the house on game day.
Did everyone know about this but me?
Home in Wisconsin recently, I stopped by Old Navy for a few things (I like Old Navy, but I don’t mess with it in NYC - I mean, Herald Square and Soho locations? I’d rather go naked).
I found more than I bargained for - I was psyched to find the store has released a “Superfan Nation” line of sports clothing for both men and women.
Guys, you know the Victoria’s Secret Pink line that your girl wears every time a game is on? You know the stuff - her college team’s logo, covered in metallic rhinestones, with that little dog that has nothing to do with anything chilling out somewhere on the shirt/hoodie/sweats? This is like that - but with all the girly stuff stripped out. So no sparkles, no random canine, and oh yeah, considerably cheaper.
What I do like about the Pink line, and is found in the Superfan line too, is that it fits a regular person and not just a linebacker. Obviously the guys stuff from ON isn’t as form-fitting as the VS Pink line, but it fits without padding worn underneath, which is more than you can say for most of the sports clothing lines out there.
So retire your jersey for awhile and try one of these tees ($20) or hoodies (topping out under $40). They’ve got pro team and college gear, with a pretty extensive collection for each team…though if I were you, I’d skip right to the Packers clothes and call it a day.
The font’s a little cheez, but otherwise I’m loving these new Wizards uniforms. Your team’s in DC, so why wouldn’t you bust out the good ol’ red, white and blue?
If you’re in the nation’s capitol, you might as well, well, capitalize on its color scheme, right?
Wizards’ New Uniforms Perfect Except For The Word “Wizards” On the Front. Rumors have been flying for a while now that the Washington Wizards were going to go back to their old color scheme, from when they were the Bullets. And today, they confirmed those rumors with these new and most excellent uniforms. But man oh man, that team nickname looks more pointless and out of place than ever. DITCH IT, TEDDY.
