Why? Because it works both ways. That girl probably rushed home from work to put on her “nighttime makeup” (don’t ask) before you showed up. Maybe she washed her hair, then put it in big velcro rollers to get those Victoria’s Secret model waves every guy likes right now. She might even have picked up something earlier – a dress, or even just a pair of earrings – because wearing something new makes her feel more confident.
