I recently inherited a couple of my dad’s old vests… They aren’t terribly vintage-looking; they look like they were once part of three piece suits. Both are pinstriped, one navy and one charcoal. I got one tailored already, but I can’t find an appropriate way to wear them, and I don’t want to get the other one tailored if it seems like a lost cause. Do you have any suggestions on how to pull an outfit together without seeming overly fashion-forward?
Nice! Vests are a great way to add some interest to an outfit without getting too crazy, or like you said, overly fashion-forward (which I totally get and respect as a concern). After all, anything that started out life as part of a tailored suit can’t feel too trendy, right?
